A Trash the Dress session in the Dominican
I just love the fact that Tara and Bill were ready to get soaked, sandy and have some fun! I had a blast with this Trash the Dress session.

Beach. Sun. Sand. Surf. and lots of wind and sea spray. The conditions were not the greatest from a camera point of view but the couple was perfect. Bill and Tara were such troopers during our photo shoot after the ceremony and were ready for anything. I absolutely love bringing out the romance and intimacy between two people and Tara and Bill were no exception. It is not hard to tell that Mr. and Mrs. Clean (long story thanks to Rolando) were madly in love with each other. There were other people there who made my life in the Dominican so much easier as well. I so need to do a big shout out to Raj! Assistant extraordinaire! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me out and pointing flashes to get the perfect lighting. If you see a photo that you think has excellent lighting….that’s my man Raj! Of course I can’t forget the unbelievable wedding party. Tara and Bill have an absolutely fantastic and supportive group of friends and family who made the journey to witness their marriage…. Amy, Rhea, Melinda, Jean, Lynsay, Shane, Dave, John, and Greg (wedding party) and amazing parents (Susan, Al, Lester and Judy). From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making me feel so welcome and a part of your group. I had a blast!

This winter I had the pleasure of travelling with Tara and Bill (and the most amazing wedding party) to Dreams Punta Cana in the Dominican. Not only were they dream clients, the had a dream wedding. The weather was beautiful and I am so happy with the results. Bill and Tara wanted to ensure that they had a photographer who understood their vision for their wedding…something that is so improtant no matter where you say I Do. Click my online galleries to browse through them. I highly recommend this resort if you are considering a Destination Wedding. Sharron is a fabulous wedding coordinator and so easy going. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You will not be disappointed at all.
It has come to my attention today that another local Ottawa photographer bought the domain name www.barbcameron.ca This part doesn’t bother me. However, if brides go to that site and expect to see my work, they won’t. Instead, they will be redirected to MyWeddingPhotographer. This has been happening since the beginning of March.
Not only was this unehtical on the photographer’s part, she broke the law. She used my name to endorse her product which is an infringement on my name. I work hard to brand my name with my work and always produce the best for my clients. I feel really bad about the potential brides who went to this site thinking it was my work they were seeing, when clearly it wasn’t.
A word to brides looking for a wedding photographer. Please make sure that the site you go to doesn’t redirect to another site. It could be another low blow by a photographer wanting to piggy back on the skills of others.
