It has come to my attention today that another local Ottawa photographer bought the domain name www.barbcameron.ca This part doesn’t bother me. However, if brides go to that site and expect to see my work, they won’t. Instead, they will be redirected to MyWeddingPhotographer. This has been happening since the beginning of March.
Not only was this unehtical on the photographer’s part, she broke the law. She used my name to endorse her product which is an infringement on my name. I work hard to brand my name with my work and always produce the best for my clients. I feel really bad about the potential brides who went to this site thinking it was my work they were seeing, when clearly it wasn’t.
A word to brides looking for a wedding photographer. Please make sure that the site you go to doesn’t redirect to another site. It could be another low blow by a photographer wanting to piggy back on the skills of others.

I am in the same boat with you right now..I have another photojenic that has started her business and although she spells her name a bit diiferent what she did was very ignorant
she took a business name that was already established and went with it. I am in the process of suing her for name confusion and a loss of money due to the confusion .
