Brooke and Tyler Part 2 | Engagement | Alight At Night

I had so much fun with Brooke and Tyler the first time, we decided to do a second part! I am honestly so excited for their wedding next year at The Brookstreet next September. They are a super couple and have lots of of plans to make it fun, different, interesting and an overall BLAST. This time, we went to Upper Canada Village: Alight At Night to take in all that is Canadian in the winter. I have to give a shout out to Brian and Ivy for the idea to go there {don’t want to pull a JB}. Their shots were fantastic and definitely set the bar. It is awesome to have wicked photography friends!

I think we picked the coldest night of the winter though! It was -16 ºC (for my American friends, that is 3.2 ºF). We went in and out a few times to warm up and have some Hot Chocolate as well. Enjoy the fusion slideshow and some of my favorite images below.

Laura and Denis | Winter {not so white} Wedding | Strathmere

Laura and Denis got married at the beautiful Strathmere Inn (one of my favorite places to photograph weddings). Even though it was a winter wedding with a Christmas theme, there was no snow to be had unfortunately. However, that didn’t mean it wasn’t cold! Laura and Denis were troopers and held out for some fantastic pictures outside. They opted to have a first look and then take their photographs prior to the ceremony starting. This was fantastic because the light was beautiful. Alan Viau conducted the ceremony (another favorite of mine) and it was a gorgeous one at that. If you have ever considered a Christmas wedding, please look at Strathmere! In the Lodge, they have a giant 18ft fully decorated Christmas tree and it is just gorgeous!

Michaela and Martin | Strathmere Winter Wedding

Michaela and Marty were married with a winter wedding atmosphere at Strathmere and it was stunning! I love Strathmere in the winter {and any time of the year for that matter}. The tree inside the Lodge is fabulous and really brings a festive atmosphere to the event. Special thanks go out to Mariam of Top Marx who did a fantastic job planning this wedding – it was very well organized and the details looked amazing. Big shout out to Quality Entertainment who provided the music: you guys ROCK (and roll).

Melissa and Brad’s Winter Wedding Wonderland

Shooting in the dark of winter is tough. Really tough. But Melissa and Brad made it so easy! They were so amazing to work with and such troopers with the cold weather. Melissa spent at least 30 minutes in the snow with little white open toed shoes on! Hats off to her! It was easy to capture the love between this couple as well as their personalities. Melissa got ready at the Holiday Inn Select Kanata and their reception was at Loch March Golf and Country Club where the staff were wonderful and went above and beyond.
