This was my last wedding of 2011 and I must say I was happy it was at Strathmere and with this couple. These people are so kind and so genuine, I truly am lucky to get such clients all the time. I look forward to going down south and hopefully visiting them in Bermuda one day! The ceremony was performed by my good friend Alan Viau;  His ceremonies are awesome!

Strathmere

is a gorgeous venue located just south of Ottawa. The food is unbelievable and the staff are amazing. I highly recommend this venue if you are a bride looking for a wedding in the country.

Katie and Andy got married in the perfect time of fall. I love fall and all of its colors. I think it is my favourite time of year and judging by the amount of Sept weddings there was, it the fav choice among brides as well. Andy had a great start to the day with his boys and they got a traditional shave. Loved watching this! Andy surprised Katie with a small calf to get pictures with. She is a vet and used to be a large animal Vet so trust me. it meant something to her. I have to say I have photographed many things, but a calf at a wedding was a first. But I must say it was great to witness and document!  The flowers are by the talented Michelle VandenBosch….enjoy!

Katie and Rob have THE BEST sense of adventure and fun! I absolutely loved the gown Katie had custom made by McCaffrey Haute Couture. It totally suited her and she looked radiant in it. The wedding also had some of the best music choices I have heard during the ceremony and as you can see from the pictures below, they completely rocked it out during their recessional at Beantown Ranch.

Class and Beauty are two worlds to describe this wedding and this couple. It was so much fun working alongside Sophia from EventsByMy for Matt and Livia’s gorgeous wedding. The National Art Gallery made for a great backdrop to host these nuptials and the food was provided by Tulips and Maple. Their food is amazing FYI !! And finally, Michelle VandenBosch is the creative genius behind the florals!

Jamie and Brad are such a cute couple; soft spoken but very much in love. I had a fantastic day in their company and loved providing them with a fusion piece. Although it rained we made the most of the day in the areas we could however, the anti-rain dance worked for their ceremony which took place outside. Ottawa Wedding Photographer Featured in Convention

I received some great news a little while ago but have not had time to blog about it until now (wedding clients come first). Those of you who have met me know I am NOT a skinny latte. I am plus size but I prefer Curvalicious! It always saddened me when I would see plus size brides receive unflattering images on their wedding day simple because they were not posed, lit or placed a certain way in the photographs-we really are delicate flowers :) . So I decided to hopefully change that one photographer at a time. Enter Canada’s Premiere Photography Convention being held in the beautiful city of Vancouver in April 2012. I was ecstatic when the organizers said YES to my curves and workshop. I am so proud at the talent that will be under the same roof speaking on the topic of photography.

Brooke and Ty…what can I say!  I think I may just break down and cry {insert tears here}.  You guys are an amazing couple. Your family is amazing for that matter! I could totally just hang with you guys every weekend (and your neighbours because they are freakin funny). I can’t thank you enough for trusting me capture your wedding day and hand over complete trust to myself and my team.  I knew I was in for trouble when I walked into the guys getting ready and I saw Adam’s black swollen eye and I said, “Dude, no amount of photoshop can help THAT!”   I was even crushin’ on Jeremy a little bit near the end of the night:)  Brooke, you and your girls looked amazing…like you all walked out of a magazine.

Brooke and Ty chose my two fav flavors: Lemon and Chocolate.  Brooke looked absolutely amazing with her professionally applied makeup and it was all Ariana!   Lastly but surely not least, Quality Entertainment: Brian and Scott are the ultimate professionals and always ensure a fun time for their clients. The music was rockin at this wedding and that is just one of the reasons why Quality Entertainment is the only DJ I recommend.

I drive past Old Quebec City every year on my way home to the East Coast. I always want to take the time to visit BUT I have lobster and donair calling me so I never get to. Enter Elizabeth and Vincent who hired us to make the trip to this beautiful city. I was amazed and felt as if I was in old Europe. Seriously, if you ever need to choose a place to visit, please choose Quebec City. The venue, the vistas, the food!!!!!

We were so excited to hear that Vincent and Elizabeth wanted to take advantage of this beautiful city, so we had a first look and then spent 3 hours for couple portraits to make the most of  the city. A heart felt thanks to this couple for putting their trust in us because we truly had a fantastic experience.
