Cecilia and Jason had a beautiful wedding in the beginning of June:) What a wonderful couple and obviously meant for each other. As you may know I have a “slight” obsession with shoes and bling….and Cecilia did not disappoint. The day was wonderfully coordinated by Marry Me Productions and was flawless. The reception was held at the picturesque National Art Centre and wow! The food! Amazing Chefs at the NAC! Enjoy some of my favorite pictures from their wedding! Cheers!

Shooting in the dark of winter is tough. Really tough. But Melissa and Brad made it so easy! They were so amazing to work with and such troopers with the cold weather. Melissa spent at least 30 minutes in the snow with little white open toed shoes on! Hats off to her! It was easy to capture the love between this couple as well as their personalities. Melissa got ready at the Holiday Inn Select Kanata and their reception was at Loch March Golf and Country Club where the staff were wonderful and went above and beyond. Enjoy the slide show and peek below to view some of my favourite shots.
Flora and Mike got married on a beautiful, crisp, fall Saturday. They said their enthusiastic “I Dos” at Blessed Sacramentin the Glebe – and how I love Father Joe!
We then headed over the the Museum of Civilization for some pictures. This has to be one of my favorite spots to photograph because of the warmth of the stone, the reflection in the glass and the cool lines ofthe buildings. After we struck a pose, we landed at the Crowne Plaza for the night to celebrate in style. I have to give a big shout out to some peeps
…Flora and Mike: thanks for all your fabulousness and making the day full of fun and laughter
…Tia at the Crowne Plaza: always a pleasure and always well done!
… Chandra, second shooter extraordinaire…thanks for all that you do:) you are irreplaceable
…Lynn Lee (Weddings Unveiled) : WOW! Working with you was F-A-B! You are truly a fantastic planner, great at what you do and so well organized
Here is the latest beautiful couple from Barbara Ann Studios: Flora and Mike. Their wedding was at Blessed Sacrament in the Glebe and the reception held at the gorgeous Crowne Plaza, downtown Ottawa.
Crowne Plaza, Ottawa
Gorgeous downtown Hotel located in Ottawa. A fantastic choice for weddings.
I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Ashleigh and Dave last weekend. I have to say, this couple is beautiful – both outside and inside AND their family and friends were such a blast to be around. We started off at the parents of Ashleigh (thanks Karen and Vic!)…after the ceremony (which was FULL of laughs and a few tears) we headed to The Manotick Mill. Our final destination brought us to the exclusive Ottawa Hunt Club Golf Course. WOW! What a venue…the grounds of the golf course certainly did not disappoint and the service was impeccable. Highly recommended. In case you missed it, here is the link to their engagement session last fall{Ashleigh & Dave Engagement}
Enjoy the slideshow and thank you from the bottom of my heart to Ashleigh and Dave who trusted me to capture this very special day. YOU DID IT GUYS!
After spending some time this summer learning and studying from one of the top wedding photographers in the world, Jerry Ghionis, he encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and do something different. He said it will only bring better images for your clients as a result. He was so right and I took his advice to heart. I always wanted to do a trash the dress but I wanted to do it with grit, edginess, off camera lighting and for some of it, underwater. The following slideshow is a result of a vision I have had for some time and finally took the leap. For those wondering, yes this is a model (Stephanie). I personally feel for me to continually be able to grow as a wedding photographer, I need to practice my craft – and not at the expense of a client. Enjoy and please contact me if you wish to trash your own dress!

Anne and Jason…what an amazing couple! They are so cute together is made working with them a breeze. Like most couples, really great wedding pictures were very important to them. They left plenty of time for us to capture some great moments between them. Enjoy the video of the day and some of my favorite shots from the day. Special thanks to Stacey from Merry Me Productions who always delivers and creates nothing less than spectacular, Flowers Talk who created gorgeous eye candy for us to enjoy, Kakes by Judy for the gorgeous cake, Groovy Linens for beautiful coverings and of course, the Westin for outstanding service as usual.
As promised, here are some of my favorite couple shots from the day. Luckily, the rain held off and the sun came out. It is always so much better to work with natural light and to get into the gardens at Strathmere. Becci looked absolutely stunning in her bridal gown and custom veil.
Ottawa Wedding Photographers | Barb Cameron | St. Anthony’s Church
St. Anthony’s is a beautiful church located in Little Italy and was a stunning venue to become husband and wife. The colors were amazing but so were the couple. One of my favorite shots to get is the groom’s reaction just prior to his bride walking down the aisle. It is often filled with a good mix of nerves, excitement and anticipation.
We headed into the market for pictures afterward. We were a little afraid of the road closures and traffic because of the Race Weekend but it was surprisingly easy to navigate. I am still working on the pictures but here are some of my favorites so far. I love the one of the boys on the stairs; it reminds me of a street you would find in New York City. The car helps make an awesome picture as well. Finally, Monique had amazing eyes to photograph and such a fun personality that really came through in all of her pictures.
Stay tuned for more shots later in the week! Visit my website for the full wedding in a few days under my online galleries!

Maggie and John got married yesterday and I couldn’t wait to start editing! That and the fact that there wasn’t a hockey game on last night I always say I have the best clients, but really, I do. Maggie and John are some of the nicest people I have ever met. I was so happy to have captured moments from their wedding day. Here are a few of my fav’s before the ceremony. Their full wedding will be up on my website in a few days.
